Binaural Auralization of Microphone Array Room Impulse Responses Using Causal Wiener Filtering

چکیده
Binaural room auralization involves Room Impulse Responses (BRIRs). Dynamic binaural synthesis (i.e., head-tracked presentation) requires BRIRs for multiple head poses. Artificial heads can be used to measure BRIRs, but BRIR modeling from microphone array impulse responses (RIRs) is becoming popular since personalized obtained any pose with low extra effort. We present a novel framework estimating signal signals, using causal Wiener filtering and polynomial matrix formalism. The formulation places no explicit constraints on the geometry of enables directional weighting estimation error. A noise model regularization balance filter performance gain. complete procedure RIRs also presented, employing proposed framework. An application example illustrates 19-channel spherical array. Direct reflected sound segments are modeled separately. compared measured shown waveform-accurate up at least 1.5\,kHz. At higher frequencies, correct statistical properties diffuse field components aimed for. listening test indicates small perceptual differences BRIRs. presented method facilitates fast data set acquisition use in dynamic viable alternative Ambisonics-based auralization.

Visualization of Compact Microphone Array Room Impulse Responses
For many audio applications, availability of recorded multi-channel room impulse responses (MC-RIRs) is fundamental. They enable development and testing of acoustic systems for reflective rooms. We present multiple MC-RIR datasets recorded in diverse rooms, using up to 60 loudspeaker positions and various uniform compact microphone arrays. These datasets complement existing RIR libraries and ha...
متن کاملDynamic measurement of room impulse responses using a moving microphone.
A technique for the recording of large sets of room impulse responses or head-related transfer functions is presented. The technique uses a microphone moving with constant speed. Given a setup (e.g., length of the room impulse response), a careful choice of the recording parameters (excitation signal, speed of movement) leads to the reconstruction of all impulse responses along the trajectory. ...
متن کاملRoom impulse responses measurement using a moving microphone
In this paper, we present a technique to record a large set of room impulse responses using a microphone moving along a trajectory. The technique processes the signal recorded by the microphone to reconstruct the signals that would have been recorded at all possible spatial positions along the array. The speed of movement of the microphone is shown to be the key factor for the reconstruction. T...
متن کاملMeasurement of 3D Room Impulse Responses with a Spherical Microphone Array
Directional room impulse responses (DRIRs) are composed of the sound contributions reaching a given location in the room from a well-defined direction in space. DRIRs can be useful in many applications, such as the evaluation of spatial room acoustics parameters, the detection of unwanted specular reflections or the 3D auralization of acoustic spaces. A spherical array containing 16 microphones...
متن کاملDetection of Room Reflections from a Binaural Room Impulse Response
A novel analysis method for binaural room impulse responses (BRIRs) is presented. It is based on the analysis of ear canal signals with continuous wavelet transform (CWT). Then, the crosswavelet transform (XWT) is used for detection of the direct sound and individual reflections from a BRIR. The new method seems to time-localize the reflections quite accurately. In addition, the proposed analys...
